CONSUMER FILES CLASS ACTION AGAINST MICHAELS FOR DATA BREACH
Brandi F. Ramundo has filed a nationwide class action against Michaels after a massive data breach. Ms. Ramundo claims Michaels should’ve protected her personal identifying information (PII) from hackers. Ms. Ramundo’s checking account was raided by hackers who stole $1,300 from her. Ms. Ramundo is seeking statutory, compensatory and punitive damages and injunctive relief, including an order directing Michaels to pay for credit monitoring for the putative class members.
